Leading Dental Material Suppliers Roll Out New 3D Printing Resins For Removable Prostheses

Oct 12, 2026

Major dental material manufacturers continue to expand their portfolios with innovative 3D-printing resins designed specifically for removable prosthetic applications. VITA has introduced a flexible 3D-printing resin formulated for the fabrication of temporary partial dentures, bringing enhanced resilience to provisional removable restorations. Meanwhile, Carbon has unveiled DB4000, a new denture-base resin featuring high fracture toughness to withstand the repeated occlusal forces present in daily oral function.

These new product launches reflect the rapidly shifting landscape in dental laboratory production. Traditional analog denture fabrication techniques are gradually being replaced by digital workflows built around intraoral scanning, CAD design and additive manufacturing. More and more dental labs are upgrading their equipment and standardising digital denture processes to cut manual labour, shorten turnaround times and stabilise the quality of finished prostheses.

As validated printable resins for denture bases, temporary partial frameworks and multi-coloured prosthetics become commercially available, the digital denture workflow is quickly turning into the mainstream production method for modern dental laboratories. The continuous release of specialised resin materials further lowers the adoption barrier for digital denture manufacturing and accelerates the industry-wide shift away from conventional hand-crafted denture production.
